New Students
Welcome to Hot Tribe Yoga and Pilates!
If you’ve never taken a yoga or pilates class before, feeling a little nervous is normal. All we can say is, please, don’t be. You’ve got this, and we’re here for you!
Here are a few Hot Tribe tips to consider before your first class with us:
- Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your first class to find your spot and settle into your practice.
- Please bring a yoga or exercise mat, towel (large enough to cover your mat) and water bottle. We have some available for hire if you don’t have a mat.
- Hydrate well before class and rehydrate afterwards, especially if you’re taking our heated classes.
- If you have any injuries, niggles or medical conditions you’re concerned about, please let us know before class. Our teaching staff are highly trained and experienced in providing modifications and extra support to ensure you get the most out of your practice.
- If you have any questions for our teaching staff before or after the class, don’t hesitate to ask – they are here to help you.
Don’t forget, showing up is the most important part! Work with the body you’ve got, and leave your expectations at the door!
Considerations
- At the end of Original Hot Yoga and Yin classes please stay silent until you leave the room.
- Many students practice savasana before and after class. Please keep any talking to a minimum as an etiquette to your fellow yogis.
- If you do have to leave the class earlier than scheduled, please let your teacher know prior to class so we can position you in the room to least disturb other students.
- As a courtesy to your teacher and fellow yogis, please stay in the room until your teacher leaves at the end of class.
- Please take note of the markers on the studio floor when setting up your yoga mat (especially for busy classes).
- The minimum age requirement for Yin is 13, however, children under 13 are welcome to participate in other class under parent/guardian supervision.
- Due to our size and the nature of our classes, our studio doesn’t have child-minding facility. We don’t take any responsibility for your children unless they participate in class.
Frequently Asked Questions
What time do you open and close before class?
We open 15 minutes before 5:45am classes and the 5:45pm Monday class and 30minutes before all others. We close 30 minutes after all classes.
Can I have a shower?
Yes! We two have showers but we ask that you please be considerate of other students waiting to shower also.
What if I can’t make a class I booked?
No problem, but we ask you to cancel the class as soon as you know you can’t make it to class.
How far ahead can I book?
Only one week ahead.
What should I wear?
Light clothing that you feel comfortable in so you can move with ease.
BOOKING & CANCELATION
To ensure a smooth experience, please take note of the following guidelines:
• Download the free Glofox app to book or cancel your class and secure your spot.
• Cancellation Notice: For most classes, we kindly request a minimum of 2 hours’ notice for any cancellations. However, please note that for high-demand classes with waitlists, a 12:00 noon cancellation policy applies on the day of class.
High-demand classes include:
• Tuesday 6:30 PM – HIIT Pilates
• Wednesday 5:00 PM – HIIT Pilates
• Thursday 5:30 PM – Hot Yoga Beats
• Friday 5:30 PM – Fusion
• Sunday 7:00 AM – HIIT Pilates
For High-demand classes, $5 late cancellation fee will apply if you cancel after the required time. For no-shows, a $15 fee will be charged, or one class credit will be deducted for those with a 5, 10, or 50-class pass.
Fully Booked Classes: If a class is fully booked, consider signing up for the waiting list. You’ll receive an email notification if a spot becomes available. Ensure your Glofox app is configured to receive booking alerts.
